Our Denomination

The Christian Reformed (CRC) denomination has its roots in the Reformation of the sixteenth century. The Christian Reformed church in North America is a group of over 900 congregations and 250,000 members. Nearly two hundred years ago, Dutch Calvinists left the Netherlands and came to the United States and Canada. Some came to escape persecution, others in the hope of finding a better life.  The CRC was born from these believers.

We believe and confess the three ecumenical creeds: the Apostle's Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed. We also teach through the Reformed Confessions of the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, and the Canons of Dort.
